Additional notes within Slab doors: We offer our Metro door two ways. Standard Metro and Matched Metro. (See diagram below)
Standard Metro is vertical grain doors and drawer fronts. Grain is random from piece to piece with no grain matching.
Matched Metro is also vertical grain doors and drawer fronts, but vertically adjacent parts are grain matched up to 92 inches.
Final note: Inset Face Frames (Square Inset, Beaded Inset, etc) are available as a Face Frame option for a Slab door.
With that style combination, however, there needs to be an awareness raised if your finish choice is something other than paint. That will include any of our stained finishes or our Natural (clear) finish. While the materials we use are of the highest quality, the tonal difference between the solid stock Face Frame and the veneered Slab door becomes enhanced once a stained or clear finish is applied. Generally speaking, the Face Frame will appear lighter in color compared to the Slab door. The Inset Face Frame and Slab door combination is only available in 3/4″ thick material.
